I am eternally grateful to Dr Jacobs for his expertise and to his staff for their team
support throughout this implant procedure. An excellent result!
I started working in Dentistry in 1991 and trained as a Dental Nurse and Oral Health Educator. My previous qualification in hotel management meant that I had a general grasp of business management and it is this area I concentrated in. I was Practice Manager in a private dental surgery in the West End of Glasgow for 10 years.
I joined Dental fx when the surgery opened in April 2006. During the intervening years I can say that I am proud that I have been a part of developing the thriving, referral based Practice it is today and I can assure you that life is never dull! In 2011 I gained a Professional Development Award in Dental Practice Management and won the Louisa Fraser Memorial Award and the accolade of 'Practice Manager of the Year' for being the top student on the course. I keep up to date with the changes in dentistry by attending courses throughout the year and by participating on many on line courses. I completed a City And Guilds award in Education and Training and received my certificate for this in March 2015. More recently I have contributed to a new book which is coming out in 2016 in relation to Dental Practice Management. I am committed to lifelong learning and encourage those around me to strive to be the best they possibly can be.
Outside of Dental fx I read a lot, particularly biographical and historical material and am a bit of a gadget geek, enjoying my Kindle, Ipad and Apple watch! I participate in Geocaching and I am particularly very involved in work through my church which takes up most of my time out with Dental fx. My life is very full and I love everything I do.
